Rapidly growing Golden Malted® is hiring an experienced Sales Manager for the Northwest region.  This is an exempt, full-time salary position with medical, dental, life, paid time off and 401k benefits.

We are the largest supplier of waffle mix in the United States for the best hotels, universities, restaurants and theme parks.  Golden Malted® Waffles are also enjoyed throughout the world. Our waffles are distributed to several countries including Australia, Canada, England, Germany, Greece, New Zealand, South Africa and Sweden.

The Sales Manager is responsible for effectively communicating the Company’s sales plan and initiatives to the sales team in their designated region along with the continuous monitoring and identification of variances to achieve the overall Company goals.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Ensure professionalism in the delivery of the Company’s products
  • Review and adjust sales route structure for the region to guarantee customers are properly serviced
  • Direct communication with the Sales Representatives as needed
  • Focus on quick, effective, and acceptable resolution of customer complaints
  • Perform reviews and ride alongs with Sales Representatives as needed to identify areas for improvement and initiate action plans
  • Monitor operational data including route compliance, auxiliary product sales, sales growth and present results to management
  • Conduct periodic update meetings with the sales team to coach and enhance productivity as well as compliance to Company procedures
  • Build quarterly sales plans by Sales Representative
  • Maintains the sales team by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees
  • Implement national sales programs by developing field sales action plans
  • Translate operational goals into budgets with specific financial targets
  • Assist with making sales calls and presentations to large accounts as needed
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status

As a Sales Manager for Golden Malted®, you must be a dedicated self-starter, be able to work without direct supervision, have excellent time management, interpersonal and communication skills.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years business to business sales management experience
  • Sales or management experience in a route sales environment helpful
  • Knowledge of performance monitoring and trend analysis

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Microsoft CRM experience a plus
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must have a big picture focus in both departmental and company strategy
  • Ability to understand and work within a defined corporate process
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check required.
