Rapidly growing Golden Malted® is hiring full-time experienced Customer Service Representatives at our South Bend facility.

We are the largest supplier of waffle mix in the United States for the best hotels, universities, restaurants and theme parks.   Golden Malted® Waffles are also enjoyed throughout the world. Our waffles are distributed to several countries including Australia, Canada, England, Germany, Greece, New Zealand, South Africa and Sweden.

Responsibilities:

  • Document all calls and activity in our customer service module (CRM) in fine detail
  • Answering in-bound phone calls and making out-bound calls- leaving a positive impression each and every time
  • Place outbound sales and collection calls with enthusiastic professionalism
  • Take orders from customers and determine if product needs to be shipped or delivered
  • Process online payments and maintain/update auto pay system
  • Provide various information to customers including balances, invoice/statement copies, W9’s, and proof of deliveries
  • Process and document customer purchase orders when required
  • Explain our waffle program to potential new customers and enter any new leads into CRM
  • Direct incoming Company calls to the appropriate person or department
  • Demonstrates initiative in superior customer care through research and responsiveness
  • Communicate with sales reps and managers providing requested assistance
  • Promote the organization's products and/or services to established customers or new prospects
  • Solicits and maintains contact with current and prospect accounts
  • Complete miscellaneous research, reports, emails, projects and tasks as requested

Required Experience/Education:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years customer service experience including some cash handling training
  • Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Microsoft CRM, shipping, collections, inside sales, and previous call center experience a plus

  • Ability to communicate clearly, be detail oriented and have a high degree of self-motivation
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace to include data entry at an advanced level
  • Ability to display confidence and use common sense in making instant decisions
  • Ability to communicate with others under stressful conditions and remain calm under pressure
  • Familiar with standard customer service and accounting concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Possess a pleasant phone voice and excellent listening skills
  • Must be extremely organized, able to multi-task, and very detail oriented
